Account Manager  

The account manager is the link between the client and the entire agency team. Our account managers act as both the key representative of the agency to clients, vendors and partners and as the client's representative to the rest of the team.

One of the most important tasks in account management is designing the clients’ strategic plan; a well-targeted plan can be the making of a great campaign. While the work varies depending on the client’s scope of engagement, account managers are responsible for client budgets, managing the work of the departments, reporting to clients and performing a range of related administrative functions. 

The available full-time account manager position enables the right person to design and implement marketing and media strategies across all platforms on behalf of our clients and Studiothink. They will work directly with our Content and Creative departments to optimize the client experience. Communication, both internal and external, is vital to ensuring consistency in meeting goals and objectives; as is the ability to empathetically and confidently manage the client relationship. 

The person we’re looking for possesses solid critical thinking skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, a passion for being ahead of the curve on what’s trending, and a fearless attitude toward technology and its impact and importance in our industry. This person will develop marketing and media plans as part of the organization’s overall efforts in brand management and marketing. 

The person in this role will collaborate with our team and lead others in developing strategies for our clients as their voice within the agency.  As an Account Manager, you will actively participate in brainstorming and campaign development to ensure that critical marketing thinking and the right media mix is integrated into all necessary marketing initiatives. Media and marketing strategy includes traditional platforms (print and broadcast), digital and interactive advertising and social media marketing.

Through your work with clients and the Studiothink team, your roles and responsibilities may include: 

  • Collaboration and contribution to  the development of comprehensive strategies for proposals and client campaigns that maximize client budgets 

  • Pitching new media strategies and target audience engagement to current and prospective clients 

  • Collaboration with team members and interactive partners to incorporate social media into digital and interactive mediums 

  • Collaboration with the Public Relations Department on social media strategy, management, and execution 

  • Development of data-driven marketing strategy on behalf of retained clients as well as project-based work 

  • Manage campaigns through both the planning, purchasing and measurement of paid media space 

  • Working directly with media outlets on behalf of the client to negotiate pricing and value-added components 

  • Monitor engagement analytics and advertising reach and effectiveness, adjusting tactics as necessary to reach and surpass client goals 

  • Analysis of effectiveness of tactics utilized  

  • Develop trusting relationships with media reps and other vendors in order to create a mutually respectful partnership 

  • Working with our SEO/SEM partners to ensure we are effectively reaching and engaging the target audience 

  • Stay abreast of emerging marketing channels and methodology 

  • Monitor competitors and be aware of market changes and developments 

  • Utilize critical thinking to uncover opportunities with current clients and create new in-roads for future clients. 

  • Focus on internal practices and regularly provide feedback to optimize workflows, efficiencies, etc. 

  • Content development, writing, and editing  

  • Provide regular feedback to clients and internal team members  

  • Manage, co-manage or assistance with select accounts and client relationships on behalf of Studiothink 

Things We Seek:

  • Superior client services experience with a minimum of 3 years agency account management experience managing multiple clients at one time

  • Empathetic and enthusiastic client relationship management

  • Effective management of project plans, timelines, and schedules with meticulous organizational skills 

  • Work-flow management between cross-functional (creative and web development) teams managing to changing daily requirements 

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills leveraging knowledge of services, processes, tools, technology, and collaboration with leaders and team members 

  • Vendor contact and negotiations 

  • 3+ years of print and digital branding and marketing experience 

  • 1-2 years of managing client budget and billing process 

  • Grace under pressure 

  • Thinks fast on their feet 

  • Confident communication skills with solid presentation and active listening skills 

  • Extreme attention to detail 

 Also nice to have: 

  • Experience in small to mid-size B2B and B2C accounts 

  • 2+ years hands-on account management experience with SEO/SEM, social media marketing, online advertising, web analytics, and email marketing 

  • Experience implementing, reporting and optimizing email and Google AdWords campaigns 

  • Analytical skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or communications, relevant field or equivalent experience

  • Experience in WordPress, HTML, print production and trade shows
